Film maker Julien Temple documented the rise and fall of what was once America’s fourth largest city in the form of the “Requiem For Detroit” documentary, which in turn inspired Robert Hood to create the third instalment in his Motor: Nighttime World series.

Challenge
Create the cover design for the “Motor: Night Time World 3” album release on vinyl and CD.
Result
This design is a visual translation of the soundtrack to the “Requiem For Detroit” documentary. The Detroit skyline reflects in Lake Michigan, creating a soundwave like image. By re-arranging the buildings, six different skylines were created forming the soundtrack.
